H&G sharing experience with Kenyan officials

Hustad & Granaas shared their operational experience with Kenyan delegation as part of the Oil for Development Programme

On 21st and 22nd of November H&G shared their insights on field development and drilling operations as part an overall Proactima course delivery under the Oil for Development (OfD) Programme hosted by Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA).

The Oil for Development (OfD) Programme is a commitment to offer assistance to developing countries in their effort to manage petroleum resources in a sustainable manner. The main approach of the OfD Programme is support for capacity development through institutional collaboration. This involves Norwegian public institutions entering into long-term cooperation agreements with public institutions in partner countries.

“We were very impressed by the level of engagement, willingness to learn and desire to develop Kenyan’s newfound oil and gas resources in a sustainable way shown by Kenyan delegation” said Bernt Granås after his presentation on Field Development.

PSA Norway were very happy based on the feedback they received about the course from the relevant stakeholders, including twelve Kenyan participants from the Ministry of Petroleum and Mining, The National Environment Management Authority and The Directorate of Occupational Safety and Health Services.

“It was not a typical day at work! However, we were incredibly happy to be part of such an impactful project and work with the inspiring delegation who were keen to learn from Norway how to manage their natural resources in a good way.” said Kristine Foss who gave a talk on drilling operations.
